GnRH
Injectable solution
PROPERTIES
CYSTORELIN is a synthetic gonadorelin ("Gonadotropin releasing Hormone" GnRH) physiologically and chemically identical to the gonadorelin released by the hypothalamus. It has no antigenic effect and repeated injections do not induce formation of anti-GnRH antibodies.
Follicular cysts arise from mature follicles which do not ovulate and are more or less luteinised. The presence of these follicles results in irregular and repeated oestrus leading to nymphomania. The follicular cysts are caused by an insufficient secretion of gonadotrophic luteinising hormone (LH) by the pituitary.
CYSTORELIN stimulates the release of gonadotrophic hormones, and particularly LH, inducing the rupture of the follicular cysts.
