Rains are now falling everywhere in Intertropical Africa. But beware, during this period different factors can trigger the development of dermatophilosis : wet wether, animals grazing in muddy pasture, cutaneous lesions, etc...
Dermatophilosis is a contagious skin disease widely spread in Africa and due to the bacteria Dermatophilus congolensis. This disease leads to important losses for the farmers with bad quality of skin or leather, less milk production, loss of weight or less value of the animal.
Due to its mode of action and its tissular penetration, spiramycin has shown its efficiency to treat this disease.
Take a look at these photos from Cameroon which shows the efficiency of SPIROVET® in the treatment of dermatophylosis in a cow!
